The alp

Built in the 19th century on the Alpe di Caviano, the two large buildings served as a stable, barn, and dwelling for the alpine people until the 1980s. Here, daily life was marked by tending the forest, raising cows and goats, and making local cheese. In 2010, one of the two buildings was renovated and converted into an alpine hut run by volunteers, thus bringing life back to the structure and opening up new possibilities for its us.
